Piercing jewelry care and storage
Daily care
Clean titanium, niobium and gold jewelry worn in healed piercings with lukewarm water and a mild, unscented soap; dry with a soft cloth. In a fresh piercing, don't remove the jewelry — clean with saline instead.
Storage
- Store jewelry in separate compartments or pouches so the pieces don't rub against each other.
- Keep it away from perfume, hairspray and chlorine.
- Take off dangling or stone-set jewelry before showering, swimming and sleeping (healed piercings only).
Stone-set and colored jewelry
The colors of anodized titanium and niobium are not paint; they may dull over time with harsh rubbing. Don't clean stone-set ends with a hard brush; a soft brush and lukewarm water are enough.
When should you replace it?
Replace the jewelry if the surface is scratched, darkened or rough. If you have constant irritation or itching, question the material: see our nickel allergy guide .
Warranty and exchanges
Manufacturing defects and exchange terms are listed on the shipping and returns page. For hygiene reasons, returns of jewelry after use are limited.
